The State Preserve of Torrey Pines not just simply preserves the trees but the salt marshes and waterfowl refuges likewise. The Torrey Pines State Beach here reaches almost four miles, starting from Del Mar to the sandstone cliffs of Torrey Pines Mesa.

is Blacks Beach, settled at the base of the three hundred foot cliffs. The cliffs here give paragliding, hang gliding, and even remote control gliding. Looking at the north end of Blacks Beach, clothing is optional. Just to be on the safe side, constantly read the signs and abide by the rules of the beach.
